Child's Apron

I completed this apron for my daughter last week. It worked up pretty quickly. I did have to make some minor adjustments to make it a little bigger for her. I also move the pocket over to the side. She loves it, as you can see with her modeling.

Here is a link to the pattern that I used.

Snowflake CAL

I have been participating in a crochet along at http://crochetville.org This is my first one ever. We are assigned to do one snowflake every week and then we will have enough at the end of the year to give as gifts during the holidays. This is only week 8 and I have 13 completed, so far. I'm a little bit ahead of schedule for once in my life.

Anyway, here is the last three that I have done. I enjoy having a variety to choose from. I would also like to cover my tree in snowflakes and angels one year. Maybe this project will help me be on my way.

Bible Covers

I finished crocheting the bible cover for John last night. It worked up pretty quickly. He says that he loves it. I took a picture of both of our Bibles together. I hope you like it. Even though my bible is open it is the same pattern as John's except in eggplant.

Works in Progress

I have a few things started that I need to get finished. I'm making a rug for my laundry room out of plastic bags. This is quite a fun project. It's just time consuming having to cut and tie the bags. I probably only have a 10% of it done. I will update and take pictures of how it's going.

Next, I am almost done with a thread crochet wreath that I am making for my mom for Mother's Day. It's green and has 20 little flowers on it. I have to finish making the flowers. I have about half of them. I have to sew them all on and get a matching ribbon to go through the whole thing. I think this is going to turn out nice.

I am trying something that I have never done before and that is amigurumi. Not sure how this is going to turn out, but I'm having fun trying. I'm making a little bunny for my daughter for Easter. that is if it looks anything like a bunny in the end...LOL So far, I have the head done and just started working on the body. I need to get busy on that one because I don't have as much time as I though I had. Easter is in March this year.

I'm also making a Bible cover for my husband. I just completed one for myself and he asked for me to do one for him. this is working up pretty quickly. I should have it done by the end of the week.

Lastly, I just started a cute little apron for my daughter. She likes to cook with Daddy and bake with me, so this should be another quick project.

Cradle Purse

I made and gave this cradle purse to my daughter, Jonaya, for Valentine's Day. She absolutely loves it. She is so appreciative of things given to her. It's one of her great qualities. She actually wants me to make her another one. I kind of like the way it came out, too.

I made this for a friend of mine who loves horses. This was my first attempt a filet crochet. Not bad, huh?

It only took me a couple of weeks to make. She loves it, too.

I framed it.

I have also thought about doing smaller projects and putting in on a wooden plaque. Then putting polyurethane over it.

Me blogging?

I have finally given in to creating a blog. I have done many projects over the years and I thought it would be fun to document it. The ladies at http://www.crochetville.org have inspired me. I plan to keep you updates on my works in progress and share and patterns I have created. I made my first piece last week. It's not much, I'm pretty proud of it.

Well, if you have made it this far. I thank you for visiting. I will try not to bore you to tears.
